Bathroom Demolition

About two weeks ago the bathroom toilet started a quiet revolt against us. Three days later the shower joined forces in the bathroom Axis of Lavatory Evil. An all out war was soon after declared. This last Sunday Ann, Atticus and I (Cat) led an incursion into enemy territory. Here's what happened...
BEFORE...

Atticus was clearly dressed for battle and was a big help!

Ann putting some muscle into it!

I made some obvious advances and victories against the armored paneling divisions. I've nominated myself for the Distinguished Service Cross, but Ann thinks I may not be eligible...

Uncle Brian came over to offer reinforcements and lend his expertise to the removal of enemy bathtubs and toilets.

In between the demolition I some how found time to amuse Atticus and do some baking... Clearly it was pretty good

The end of the battle! Our forces declared victory over the bathroom. Not bad for an afternoons work. A peace treaty has been signed and Ann and I will now devote our time and resources towards reconstruction. Stay tuned!

Atticus' Birthday Party!

Atticus had a lovely little party on Sunday and got lots of presents he loved!

Trinity was kind enough to help her brother sort through his loot...

Of course Atticus was not the only one enthralled with the gifts...

CAKE!!!!

Per the birthday boy's request, Ann and the kids made a banana cake (which was really layers of banana bread) with blue frosting (which really was closer to periwinkle) and chocolate sprinkles. Looked a little odd, tasted a little different, but man did he love it!

Christmas/ Santa Day

I've started to think we should just call a shovel, a shovel and call it what it really is Santa Day. The children were very happy with all their gifts but particurlarly those by the man himself.

This is a small portion of the bounty of gifts supplied by those without a flying sled.

Santa came through yet again for Atticus who asked for "a blue guitar".

He outdid himself for Trinity with this "ballerina box" .

The heaviest Christmas tree ever, more about that in the next post.

Trinity asked for a Snow White dress, so Ann took care of it.

Karen and Brian visited on Boxing Day, they loved the sleeping bag they gave to Trinity.
